I’m reading morph! during week day lunches. First off, good book. Everyone in any sort of ministry leadership needs to read it! I am also doing research for a biblical integration paper on boards/committees/elders for my Educational Admin class. Two thoughts from my reading struck me as especially ‘morphing’. Leaders as curators and leaders as architects. As curators, leaders put together teams. Great teams are curated more than led. Each member has a unique contribution and it is up to the leader to curate the team. As architects, leaders design the ethos of the organization. They cannot, by themselves, build the ethos, but their design is the crucial factor in the building of the ethos.
