Although there are exciting things happening on Biola's campus today, I think I'll put off blogging about that until next week--after some of the dust clears. So instead, I'll put in my two cents about the current PGA uproar:

I don’t watch golf. I don’t like golf. But… if the men really want a “league of their own” maybe they should start the MPGA (Men’s Professional Golf Association). Seems to me that the name “PGA” includes all PROFESSIONAL golfers. Guys, get over it! Especially in light of a few facts..

There's the mini-rant for today.

"As long as you're green, you're growing. As soon as you're ripe, you start to rot."
- Ray Kroc [Source: Leadership Wired, www.injoy.com]

Ray Kroc’s statement sheds a bit of light of yesterday’s blog about finding my ministry. Like Kermit says, it is not easy being green, but according to Kroc, it’s harder being ripe. I’ll stay green.

As Brad said in his comment yesterday—I need to relax in it. I’m thinking it’s more like letting the spiritual DNA take me where I need to be. You know, olive trees are still olive trees, even when they’re growing sideways because they fell over twenty years ago—and the olives are just as good. Besides, God uses all our stuff—even bad stuff—to grow us into who we are. So, I guess I’ll join Joseph, and say to the detractors (humanoid and otherwise), “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive” (Genesis 50:20 nasb). Thanks, Brad.

I've been thinking a lot lately about ministry and design--my design. I wonder which parts of me are God's design choices and which parts are my own compensation for circumstances. On the other hand, since God uses all of our experiences, even the horrendous ones, what difference does it make? I'm thinking, not much. So, how do I begin searching out more of my design? More later...

So, I'm so tired today that I almost fell asleep while eating my Cupid's Original Hotdog (sorry ...too tired to find link) at lunch. Not gonna write much. Gotta go take a nap.
