Christian Book Summaries

This is a great website. They produce "thorourgh and readable summaries of noteworthy books from Christian publishers." Recent summaries include:

Rumors of Another World by Philip Yancey
The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel
Executive Influence by Mike Hamel and Christopher Crane
Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson
Cool Clock

Really cool clock on the link above.

Tamiflu works.

I'm back at work.

I'm also exhausted.

On a happy* note, I just received my Fall grades. I am VERY happy 'cause I worked VERY hard to earn those A's.

[*NOTE: happy is an emotional response to good circumstances; it is not to be confused with joy]

Well, it's almost time for Winter break to be over and guess what? I'm sick. Ergh! Apparently I have the flu, but the doc gave me this stuff called Tamiflu and I already feel tons better. It's supposed to shorten the flu, but we'll see. So much for going back to work Tuesday...

Hyatt Moore came to TFB today with his giant painting The Last Supper with Twelve Tribes . It's a great painting and his talk, The Big Picture was good, even if a bit random. He talked about how God loves variety and made and loves all kinds of people. Biola has a copy of the picture in its library. It's fairly cool.

A final note. One of my Christmas gifts this year was the complete season one for Spongebob. Thanks Ann! Cool gift and definite lesson fodder. I already used one episode--Teatime in Tree Dome--to teach the necessity of community nurture as taught in Acts 2:42.
